Welcome to Dark Sky lover.

As a child I was always interested in learning about the celestial bodies that captured out ancestor’s imagination leading them to create stories that left imprints on our culture to this very day. Often going to libraries during holidays to borrow encyclopedia and other books referring to astronomy. However, at some point while growing up, I lost touch with this hobby.

Call it mid-life crisis or itching to pick up new hobby, I randomly decided to participate to a stargazing event during one weekend few years back. That acted as catalyst and since then I was hooked in the hobby. Today, I do stargaze regularly since past 5 years and astrophotography since last one and half years.

Yes, I live in Mumbai – very air polluted and light polluted part of the world. But that does not damp my spirits to continue the passion. I travel to city outskirts finding dark spots under the starlit skies along with my telescope and astrophotography gear.

This website is all about sharing my passion with likeminded people who are interested in astrophotography and stargazing but don’t know where to start. I hope to help others by sharing my views, experiments and information through this site and other social media platforms.
